Betsy Jones, began her 2nd career in the catering world as an on-site chef for local catering companies over 20 years ago.
After a few years, she decided to go into social and corporate event planning which began at the Hilton on King Street in Alexandria, and continued to her present location, the Sheraton National, approximately 5 years ago.
Betsy is a self-professed foodie and loves to plan events around various cuisines. From weddings to memorials and every type of social event, Betsy incorporates the client’s personality into their event. She states that, “Details are the key to a stress free event for clients; I try to be thorough in the gathering process and take notes which are included in my staff direction. Learning is the key to continuous fun as a planner; always being on top of new trends helps to keep the job fresh!”
