The Association of Wedding Professional's of Greater Washington, DC
will be holding elections for new 2012-2013 Board Members.
Nominations will be accepted July 18, 2011 through August 24, 2011 for the following positions:
President
Vice-President
Secretary
Treasurer
Programs Chair
Membership Chair
Site Chair

Candidate/Nominee Eligibility
- Must be a Member in good standing and current 2011 Members in the Association plus attended four (4) or more meetings in current calendar year
- Can be a current Board Member and has not served on the Board for more than a total of ten (10) years
- Must be of good standing within the wedding industry abiding by a high standard of ethics and morals, and have not displayed any professional misconduct within the wedding industry
- Must be current within their business and hold a current business license within the wedding industry (large corporations/entities can also submit a W-9 form as verification)
- Completion of Candidacy Application Form
- Nominees are expected to renew their membership with the Association by the end of the current calendar year
- Candidate must adhere to all deadlines; failure to do so may result in elimination of the candiate from the ballot or election process
- Candidate is aware that acknowledging interest in a Board position requires a two (2) year comittment and no terms of payment are involved for their services on the Board
Self nomination is eligible if candidate has met the above criteria
